Qualifications

• Matric or equivalent is required.
• Diploma or Degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• 2-4 years' payroll experience.
• Proven experience using Sage 300 People is mandatory.
• Experience with complex payroll environments is advantageous.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing including capturing, validation and reconciliation.
• Utilise Sage 300 People to process and validate payroll transactions.
• Investigate and resolve payroll exceptions before finalisation.
• Interpret and apply payroll policies, employment conditions and company remuneration practices.
• Manage UIF administration and monthly EMP201 validation.
• Provide supporting payroll functions for IRP5 processing and reporting.
• Manage IOD administration and case management.
• Administer employee benefits, including data capture and reconciliations.
• Process payroll and benefits data through Sage 300 People and relevant service providers.
• Complete accurate third-party reconciliations.
• Respond to payroll queries within agreed turnaround times.
• Investigate and resolve complex payroll matters and manage escalations appropriately.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll and employee information.
