End to End Mining Program Architect

Anticipated Contract End Date / Length: April 1st 2025 - March 31st 2026

Work set up: Hybrid (Minimum travel possibly to Guinea)

Our client in the global professional services industry is seeking a highly skilled and experienced End-to-End Mining Programme Architect to join their team. The successful candidate will provide strategic oversight and guidance across multiple application projects within a mining enterprise. The role is responsible for ensuring that all technical solutions align with program goals and strategies while also being adopted by governance forums. The Program Architect will work within the enterprise architect team supporting initiatives and promoting best practices across the program.

What you will do:

• Liaise with client and stakeholders to oversee multiple application projects.
• Ensure all technical solutions align with the program's goals and strategy.
• Support teams across requirements, solution architecture, integration architecture, and procurement.
• Identify gaps in mining application stacks and promote the reuse of existing client assets.
• Collaborate across multiple domains to align target architecture with all project components.
• Guide and assist solution architects in architectural documentation and modeling using appropriate tools and practices.
• Maintain alignment to architectural standards during projects.
• Provide technical advisory and consultative expertise focused on business and technology value realization.
• Work effectively in both waterfall and agile delivery models.
• Align and articulate the cost of enterprise architecture (EA) and IT work with its business and IT value, maintaining cost vs. value balance throughout delivery.
• Provide enterprise architecture advisory and implementation expertise.
• Acquire and apply business knowledge beyond a purely technical role.
• Communicate complex concepts effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or Honours in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Informatics.
• 8 years of experience in enterprise architecture or related subject matter areas.
• Deep understanding of mining processes, systems, and tools across the value chain.
• Strong expertise in mining application stacks and enterprise architecture.
• Strong data-driven consulting skills with a focus on business and technology value realization.
• Ability to work independently and determine methods and procedures on assignments.
• Experience in guiding solution architects in documentation and best practices.
• Proven consulting experience in a global technology services firm or a seasoned industry position focusing on enterprise architecture.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with stakeholders effectively.
• Experience in enterprise architecture advisory and/or implementation.

Preferred Certifications:

• TOGAF 9 or 10 (Advantageous)
• ArchiMate v3.2 (Advantageous)
• OrbusInfinity experience (Advantageous)
