Job summary

Cashbuild End Controller role is an internal position focused on ensuring all transactions are documented when stock leaves the store or when customers return stock. You will maintain accurate records and signatures and support daily operations.

You will manage customer returns in the End Controller book, coordinate with shifts, secure doors, and uphold cash handling and security procedures while delivering courteous service to customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 with 1 year related experience or 2 years related experience.
• Ability to communicate in English and the dominant language in the area.
• Must be literate.
• Must have strong numeric skills.
• Proven attention to detail.
• Must be able to work under pressure.
• Must be willing to work shifts, weekends and Public Holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure no goods leave Cashbuild stores without the relevant documentation.
• Complete correct and full documentation with date, time, sequence and signature captured.
• Ensure all customer returns are recorded in the End Controller book and authorised.
• Ensure backup employee available for area of responsibility with shift changes, lunch, and tea breaks.
• Sign the End Control keys IN / OUT daily.
• All exit / entry doors must be closed if not in use.
• Ensure loading/off-loading shutter doors are closed when not in use.
• Report suspicious behaviour and vehicles to Management.
• Conduct random searches on Employees when they leave the Store.
• Offer fast, friendly and efficient service to Cashbuild Customers at check in/out.
• Direct Customers to the relevant person who can assist him/her.
• Adhere to Ready for Business and Beyond my Control as per the CB Way.
• Maintain integrity, accuracy and client focus in all tasks.

Requirements:

• Minimum Grade 12 and 1 (one) year work related experience or 2 (two) years’ work related experience
• Ability to communicate in English and the dominant language spoken in the geographical area where the position is available
• Must be literate
• Must have strong numeric skills
• Proven attention to detail
• Must be able to work under pressure

Key Performance Area:

• Ensure no goods leave Cashbuild stores without the relevant documentation
• Completed correct and full
• Correct date, time, sequence, and signature on document has been captured
• Ensure all Customer returns are correctly recorded in the End Controller book and authorised
• Ensure back up employee available for area of responsibility with shift changes, lunch, and tea breaks
