Job summary

Cashbuild is seeking an End Controller (External Applications Only) to ensure documentation for stock movements and customer returns is complete at the store. You will verify records, capture dates, times and signatures to uphold process integrity.

The role requires Grade 12 with 1 year of related experience or 2 years, plus strong numeracy and attention to detail. You must be able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with 1 year related experience or 2 years related experience.
• Must communicate in English and the dominant local language.
• Must be literate and have strong numeric skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure no stock leaves stores without the relevant documentation.
• Capture correct date, time, sequence and signature on documents.
• Record customer returns in the End Controller book and obtain authorisation.
• Ensure a backup employee is available for shift changes and breaks.
• Close exit/entry doors when not in use and report suspicious activity.
• Conduct random searches on employees when they leave the store.

Description:

Ensure relevant documentation for all transactions is checked and recorded when stock and / or fixed assets leave the Store or when Customers return stock.

Requirements:

• Minimum Grade 12 and 1 (one) year work related experience or 2 (two) years’ work related experience
• Ability to communicate in English and the dominant language spoken in the geographical area where the position is available
• Must be literate
• Must have strong numeric skills
• Proven attention to detail
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Must be willing to work shifts, weekends and Public Holidays

Key Performance Area:

• Ensure no goods leave Cashbuild stores without the relevant documentation
• Completed correct and full
• Correct date, time, sequence, and signature on document has been captured
• Ensure all Customer returns are correctly recorded in the End Controller book and authorised
• Ensure back up employee available for area of responsibility with shift changes, lunch, and tea breaks
• Sign the End Control keys IN / OUT daily
• All exit / entry doors must be closed if not in use
• To ensure that loading and off-loading shutter doors are closed at all times where not in use
• Report all suspicious behaviour and vehicles which could pose a risk to Cashbuild and its Customers to Management
• Conduct random searches on Employees when they leave the Store

Customer Service

• Offer fast, friendly and efficient service to all Cashbuild Customers when checking in and out Customers goods
• Direct Customers to relevant person who can assist him / her.
