Job description

Our Client, a fast-growing, premium health brand that specializes in selling various wellness supplements. They are seeking an Employee Wellness Coordinator to cultivate and maintain a highly effective environment for teams and individuals to thrive. A strategic Employee Wellness Coordinator who can, not only succeed at coordinating and driving wellness opportunities for our teams but also to manage the overall Employee Relationship Management (ERM) function. This role will focus on building strong relationships with all employees on all levels and addressing any concerns that arise from here, by coordinating, tracking and resolving issues accordingly, it also identifies and plans for engagement opportunities to build strong teams and collaboration between departments. The ideal candidate should be able to apply psychological or coaching techniques to support staff and improve the workplace environment, in order to maximise performance.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relationship Management:
  • Conduct 1:1 with every employee, every month and develop a comprehensive report that gives constructive feedback to management and a tracker that addresses any issues or concerns that may have been raised
  • Build solid relationships with staff, so they know that you are their go to person for any concerns or issues they may have
  • Develop, implement, and oversee programs to enhance employee relations, engagement, and satisfaction
  • Act as a strategic advisor on conflict resolution, communication challenges, and team dynamics
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to design and implement initiatives that strengthen workplace culture
  • Mediate and resolve complex interpersonal issues between teams or individuals to promote harmony and inclusion
  • Mental Health and Well-Being Support:
  • Design and implement evidence-based mental health and wellness programs
  • Identify and coordinate engagement opportunities for teams to build stronger relationships with one another
  • Provide one-on-one coaching and support sessions for employees dealing with work-related stress or burnout
  • Partner with external mental health professionals or EAP providers to ensure comprehensive support is available when/if required
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops on mental health awareness, stress management, resilience, and emotional intelligence
  • Find relevant assessments that will lend itself to providing insights to our employees and how they think, so that we can create more opportunities for people to connect and grow together as a team
  • Organizational Development and Strategy:
  • Conduct needs assessments and surveys to gauge organizational health and recommend interventions
  • Use psychological research and data analytics to inform policy changes and workplace improvement strategies
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of mental health and ERM programs, using KPIs and feedback
  • Training and Reporting:
  • Deliver training to managers and leaders on effective people management, conflict resolution, and mental health sensitivity
  • Support the development of leadership capabilities that promote well-being and a culture of respect and support
  • Supply monthly reports to the HR Manager on concerns and resolution plans

Requirements:

  • Degree in Industrial Psychology, Organizational Behavior, or a related field is a bonus
  • Professional experience (2+ years) in an employee relations role
  • Strong understanding of psychological or coaching principles as applied in workplace settings
  • Exceptional communication, mediation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive issues with discretion, empathy, and professionalism
  • Experience in developing and evaluating wellness or mental health programs is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with HR regulations and ethical standards related to mental health and employee support
  • Proficiency in English with excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working with cross-functional teams
