Job summary

Surgo is seeking a motivated Junior Project Manager for a six-month assignment in Bloemfontein. The role focuses on project coordination, planning, monitoring and reporting to ensure scope, budget, quality and timelines are met.

You will work with internal stakeholders, contractors, and other parties across the project lifecycle. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a related field; a PM certification is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in project management, Business Management, Management, or a related field.
• A project management-related certification or qualification will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development and maintenance of project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Coordinate project activities to ensure actions and deliverables are completed on time.
• Monitor expenditure and help keep projects within approved scope and budget.
• Track progress against timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
• Prepare status reports and progress updates for stakeholders.
• Facilitate communication among project team members, contractors, clients, and management.
• Identify risks, delays and roadblocks and escalate as needed.
• Maintain project documentation including minutes, action logs, and plans.
• Support contractor management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist with close-out activities and handover documentation.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, specifications and organisational requirements.
