Job summary

United Exports in Wellington, South Africa, is seeking a driven Junior Production Manager to join the farming team. You will support planning, coordination, and supervision of key farming activities, helping to deliver premium fruit crops while developing leadership and operational skills.

You will coordinate daily tasks, monitor production standards, assist with compliance to GAP and SIZA, and contribute to efficient use of resources.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field (preferred).
• Additional certifications in farming practices such as: Irrigation, Crop scouting, Plant production, Other relevant agricultural disciplines
• 2-4 years' relevant farm management experience in a commercial farming environment.
• Practical experience across crop production activities from land preparation through to harvesting.
• Experience with fruit or berry production and harvesting practices is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily farming activities such as planting, chemical applications, and pest management.
• Monitor production methods and ensure adherence to standards.
• Conduct soil and leaf analyses to support crop management programs.
• Inspect production areas and track crop maturity against production targets.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Manage asset and equipment inspections and safety.
