Main Purpose of Job

To provide quality and safe clinical care to patients presenting to the emergency centre by assessing, diagnosing, treating, and making disposition decisions according to best practice standards.

Key Responsibility Areas
  • Provide quality, safe clinical care in the emergency centre.
  • Assist with teaching and coordinating clinical development programs in the emergency centre to improve patient care.
  • Support nursing staff in applying triage effectively in the emergency centre.
  • Participate in company strategies such as PatientsFirst@Mediclinic.
  • Engage in emergency centre quality improvement and assurance initiatives to ensure consistent delivery of safe, quality patient care.
  • Maintain a minimum standard of emergency medical care knowledge and expertise at all times.
Required Education

Essential: MB BCh/MB ChB

Desired: Dip PEC, MPhil

Required Experience

Essential minimum: Completion of internship and community service years.

Desired: Previous work experience post-community service in an emergency centre within a private or public hospital setting.
