Job summary

Mediclinic Cape Town is seeking a registered nurse to deliver safe, comprehensive nursing care in a dynamic hospital setting. You will work with a multi-professional team to maintain high standards of patient safety and experience while documenting all nursing interventions.

The role requires a General Nursing qualification, with desirable midwifery and postgraduate credentials. Prior experience in a specialised unit is preferred, and commitment to infection control and evidence-based practice

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in General Nursing is required.
• Midwifery and postgraduate certificate/diploma in a relevant specialty area are desirable.
• DESIRED EXPERIENCE: 1 year post-graduate qualification experience before placement in a specialised unit.
• ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE: None.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi-professional team
• Identify, prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safety
• Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment
• Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions
• Create a learning environment that builds staff competence
• Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charged
