Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Aviation Turbine Mechanic for Mossel Bay to maintain, repair, and overhaul turbine engines and related components. You will work hands-on to ensure engine reliability, safety, and performance in a busy aviation maintenance environment.

The role requires meticulous attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work with complex mechanical systems. Training opportunities on new engine types are available and the team operates in a coastal setting

Qualifications

• Certified aviation turbine mechanic or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years of turbine engine maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and interpret complex manuals and schematics.
• Commitment to safety and quality in aviation.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on aircraft turbine engines.
• Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble engine components per specs.
• Identify and replace worn or defective parts.
• Conduct engine run-ups and performance checks post-maintenance.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance, parts used, and labor hours.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines and aviation regulations.
