Job description

Duties

  • Attend all breakdowns.
  • Interpret manuals and instructions to perform duties.
  • Assemble, install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain electronic components and systems.
  • Repair failed machine parts during shifts.
  • Distinguish various wire colors and electronic system sections.
  • Ensure all tools operate correctly and comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain spares in the department stores.
  • Maintain 5S in respective areas.
  • Check machine health during preventive maintenance and job changeovers.
  • Provide training and supervision for new trainees.
  • Perform safety checks to ensure design plans are implemented and products function correctly.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Report breakdowns if unable to resolve within the defined time to the shift in-charge.
  • Repair machine parts and inform the manager/shift in-charge of requirements.
  • Arrange spares properly in department stores for quick access during breakdowns.
  • Maintain 5S in respective areas.
  • If possible, repair failed parts during the shift and inform the shift in-charge.
  • Monitor machine health during job changeovers.
  • Ensure adherence to local and national electrical codes and proper material usage.

Qualifications

  • 2-6 years of relevant experience.
  • ITI Electronics / Diploma qualification.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including telephonic.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of electronics.
  • Willingness to receive constructive feedback and grow professionally.
