Job description

We are currently seeking a skilled Electronics Service Technician to join our client's scientific team in Midrand.

Job Description :

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert maintenance and repair services on a variety of equipment including motherboards, PLCs, lab equipment, and furnace fusion machines.

Responsibilities :

  1. Perform on-site diagnostic tests to identify functionality and productivity issues.
  2. Service laboratory equipment at mining client sites.
  3. Conduct regular maintenance on machinery, systems, and equipment.
  4. Troubleshoot complex system failures and manage repair procedures.
  5. Resolve issues pertaining to PLC systems.
  6. Maintain records of all maintenance and repair work.
  7. Provide effective solutions to fix electronic system faults.
  8. Ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations during repair and maintenance work.
  9. Regularly inspect equipment to measure its functionality.

Key Qualifications :

  • Experience with PLC, motherboard, lab equipment, and furnace fusion machine repair.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Good understanding of electrical layouts and circuitry.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain professionalism.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
