Electronics Engineer

POSITION INFO :

Electronics Engineer – Atlantis - R16 000 - R25 000 Per Month

The successful candidate will be heading the electronics department and working closely with the production team.

Hybrid Role Requirement: 3 days a week at the factory

Duties:

1. Embedded Hardware:
2. Fault finding and repair of PCBs
3. Create and make changes to Autodesk Eagle & Diptrace projects and schematics
4. Create Bill of Materials for projects
5. Generate Gerber and drill files
6. Technical support for new and existing projects

1. Embedded Firmware:
2. Able to create new firmware projects using MPLAB, Visual Studio Code (PlatformIO), Arduino
3. Able to make adjustments to existing firmware projects

Desired Skills:

• Minimum 1-2 years Embedded hardware development experience
• Minimum 1-2 years Embedded firmware development experience
• Familiar with the manufacturing environment
• C / C++ / C# coding
• MPLAB (XC8 compiler) experience will be an advantage
• EPS32 & IoT
• Schematic and PCB layout
• 2D CAD design experience with laser cutting will be an advantage
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Analytical and lateral thinking skills
• Excellent time management skills are essential for this position
