Hardware / Power Electronic Design Engineer

Randburg

Our client specializes in the development of systems for the Military, Mining, Railway, and other commercial products.

Our client requires a Junior Hardware Engineer to join our expanding engineering team. With operations in South Africa and the United States, the company is a high-growth company serving the railway, defence, mining, and commercial truck industries.

The company does the complete design and manufacture of advanced electronic systems, supported by in-house SMD production, PCB assembly, embedded systems development, and precision CNC machining.

This position is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer looking to gain broad exposure to power electronics, embedded hardware, and product development.

Requirements

• BEng in Electronic or Electrical Engineering
• 02 years of relevant industry experience or internship experience
• Solid foundation in analog and digital circuit design
• Familiarity with embedded microcontrollers and programming concepts
• Exposure to PCB design software (e.g., Altium, KiCAD) is advantageous
• Enthusiasm for learning and a strong problem-solving mindset
• Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of embedded and power electronic systems
