Job description

SANSA runs an in-service training programme in which students who are seeking experience are offered an opportunity to acquire practical work experience through mentoring and coaching. SANSA has learning opportunities in the electronics engineering area of specialisation at the Hartebeesthoek site.


The Learning Areas Include But Are Not Limited To:
  • Operate, maintain and monitor antenna systems, radio frequency (RF), electronic telecommunications, and computer hardware or software systems and equipment associated with satellite ground station operations.
  • Participate in rendering specialised tracking, telemetry and command (TT&C) launch support services to SLVs (Satellite launch vehicles), transfer-orbit support (TOS), launch and early-orbit phase (LEOP), emergency, in-orbit test (IOT) services, routine life-cycle support operations, etc.
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance and first-line reactive maintenance to SANSA-owned or stakeholder or customer-owned systems, equipment and infrastructure.
  • Participate in ad-hoc project tasks.
