Electronic Engineer - RF / Software Defined Radio

INCOMAR, based in Centurion, Gauteng, South Africa, is seeking a motivated Electronic Engineer - RF / Software Defined Radio to join our aerospace and defence team. We are expanding our capabilities in product development and flight operations, with a history rooted in military aircraft weapons, avionics integration, and flight testing.

Our company specializes in systems design, development, integration, and testing across various platforms and products, including:

  • Systems Design, Development, and Integration
  • System Testing on multiple platforms
  • Product Development
  • Flight Test Execution and Support

The role involves detailed RF & SDR designs for modules used in radio communications, including hardware & PCB design, firmware & software development, testing, verification, validation, and hardware integration.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic or Computer Engineering (Master's preferred)
Skills & Experience:
  • 3+ years in electronic hardware/firmware development
  • RF & Electronic hardware design expertise
  • RF & SDR PCB design knowledge
  • Firmware development experience (VHDL & Xilinx devices)
  • Understanding of communication and modulation schemes
  • Hardware testing, debugging, and integration skills
  • Product development and system engineering capabilities
  • Proficiency in design & simulation tools (Vivado, Libero, MATLAB, MWO, CST, etc.) and MS Office
Preferred Experience:
  • Military, Defence, and/or Avionics development
