Introduction
The primary purpose of the Electronic Engineer is to design and integrate electronic hardware for the systems under development.
Our company's focus is mainly on electro-optical systems for the civilian and security industry, but may also be suitable for limited defence applications.
This wide range of application implies special requirements and considerations when designing and verifying electronic hardware.
The Electronic Engineer will work in a team with System Engineers, Project Managers, the Chief Electronic Engineer, and other Engineers and Technicians in the process of product development.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Concept electronic designs to meet the system requirements provided by the Systems Engineer
- Detailed electronic hardware designs based on the chosen concept design
- Oversee and review PCB designs
- Internal and external interface designs
- Design for Electro-magnetic compatibility
- Simulation and analysis in support of the design process
- Ability to develop and/or understand firmware and software for optical systems is an advantage
- Creation of documentation (e.g., requirement specifications, design description and verification documents, version descriptions) as outputs of the various stages of the hardware design, development, and review process
- Perform FAIT (Fabrication, Assembly, Integration and Testing) for electronic components/sub-systems
- Perform verification, validation, and qualification testing of the electronic components/subsystems
Suitable Character
- The ability to apply deep technical knowledge through independent judgment and decision-making
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the drive necessary to bring product development projects to a successful conclusion
