Job summary

Epiroc is seeking a recently qualified or early-career engineer to gain exposure across the full product development lifecycle—from concept and design to testing, manufacturing support, and field implementation. You will work on innovative embedded electronic systems, PCB designs, and firmware development with experienced engineers in a highly technical environment.

Qualifications

• BEng Electronic Engineering degree required.
• 0-2 years' experience in electronic design engineering.
• Exposure to PCB design and schematic capture.
• Embedded firmware development experience advantageous.
• Experience with Altium Designer advantageous.
• Programming experience in Embedded C.
• Knowledge of STM32 or similar microcontroller platforms.
• Understanding of communication protocols including UART, CAN, USB, SPI, RS485.
• Exposure to C# application development advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Interpret client requirements and assist in developing technical specifications.
• Design electronic hardware, embedded firmware, and supporting software solutions.
• Perform schematic and PCB design activities using industry-standard design tools.
• Develop embedded firmware for microcontroller-based systems.
• Implement and integrate various communication protocols.
• Test, validate, and refine electronic designs.
• Maintain engineering documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
• Generate manufacturing, testing, installation, and commissioning documentation.
• Support technical and field service teams when required.
• Liaise with customers and stakeholders on technical matters where necessary.
• Ensure adherence to engineering standards, procedures, and best practices.
