Are you a bold, strategic sales leader with deep roots in the industrial automation, power, water, or oil & gas sectors? Do you thrive in dynamic markets and lead high-performing teams to exceed targets?



We are recruiting for a Head of Sales – Sub-Saharan Africa to lead regional sales strategy and execution across a wide portfolio of industrial solutions and services. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of process automation, coupled with the drive to lead teams, grow market share, and build enduring client relationships in complex, technical environments.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the development and execution of regional sales strategies aligned with global objectives.

  • Lead and coach a high-performing sales team across Sub-Saharan Africa, ensuring sales excellence and target achievement.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across multiple industries, including power, water, oil & gas, and petrochemicals.

  • Support key pursuits and oversee pricing, contract negotiation, and margin management.

  • Strengthen and manage channel partner strategies and performance.

  • Oversee marketing, tendering, and bid management processes to improve hit rate and efficiency.

  • Maintain and deepen relationships with senior client stakeholders and industry decision-makers.

  • Ensure team capability and performance through effective people development, coaching, and structure alignment.



Ideal Profile:

  • Electrical or relevant engineering degree (Master’s or MBA is a strong advantage).

  • 8–10+ years in industrial automation / systems sales, including strong exposure to the energy industries.

  • Minimum 7 years in sales leadership, managing large, diverse teams (15+).

  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to drive strategy and execution at a regional level.

  • Willingness to travel extensively across Africa.

  • Proven record in building and scaling high-impact sales organisations.
