Job summary

Grow your expertise in the manufacturing industry as an Electrician in the Western Cape. You will perform electrical maintenance and repairs on machinery to ensure optimal performance and uptime, including fault finding on electrical and electro-mechanical systems and servicing equipment.

Qualified Electrician with N4 and at least 5 years' FMCG experience is required. You will install and maintain electrical systems, conduct safety checks, perform root cause analysis on breakdowns, and support

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with N4 and 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing FMCG environment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities across electrical/electro-mechanical systems.
• Proven ability to work in a team, under pressure, and manage standby/overtime/weekend requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance and repairs on machinery to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
• Fault finding on electrical and electro-mechanical systems; service equipment and wiring power and control circuits.

In this role, you will perform electrical maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and uptime. Responsibilities include fault finding on electrical and electro-mechanical systems, servicing equipment, wiring power and control circuits, installing and maintaining electrical systems, and conducting safety checks. You will also perform root cause analysis on breakdowns, support system improvements, and provide accurate maintenance feedback. Your experience with control systems, PLCs, variable speed drives, and electrical installations will be key. Exposure to refrigeration equipment, electronic grading systems, and HT switching will be an advantage.
To succeed in this role, you should be a qualified Electrician with N4 and at least 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing (FMCG) environment. Strong fault-finding, teamwork, and the ability to work under pressure are required. This role involves standby, overtime, and weekend work when required.
