Job summary

Status Staffing is assisting a client in Bellville to hire a qualified Electrician. The candidate should hold an N6 National Diploma in Electrical Engineering, a Red Seal, and a 3 Phase Wireman’s License, with PLC programming experience and knowledge of electrical drawings and maintenance.

The position is permanent with a monthly salary of R22 000–R27 000, and the successful applicant must have own transport.

Qualifications

• N6 National Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Qualified Electrician - Red Seal with a 3 Phase Wireman’s License.
• PLC Installation and Programming (advantageous).
• Experience in wiring, PLC programming, electrical drawings and electrical maintenance.
• Own transport and Red Seal qualification required.

Responsibilities

• Manage production staff and oversee their daily activities.
• Cost new designs and establish BOM, process data, and layouts for manufacturing.
• Monitor raw material prices from suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Approve orders for bulk materials based on stock levels and forecasts.
• Ensure safety and compliance with company policies.
