Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in electrical field with Red Seal Certification.

We're inviting applications for the role of Electrician, based at our Media24 office in Johannesburg, reporting directly to our Property Manager.

What You'll Do

1. General upkeep of the buildings electrical installations, systems and equipment.
2. Inspections, recordings and corrections on electrics.
3. Adhering to safety performance standards, protocols and lock out procedures.
4. Ensure tools inspections and compliance with safety standards and regulations.
5. Safe and clean workshop and working areas on floors.
6. Maintenance of 3 phase controls and supply.
7. Fault finding in electrical reticulation and electrical equipment.
8. Maintenance of kitchen and other equipment as and when required.
9. Day to day maintenance work in and around the group offices and buildings.
10. Fixing or changing of fixtures and fittings of the building as required.
11. Recording and reporting monthly on all work completed.
12. Tracking of and budgeting for stock, tools and equipment required.
13. Notifying the Property Manager when an external contractor will need to be contacted.
14. Working with contractors providing SLA services.
15. Assisting with Ad hoc requests from Property Manager.

What we're looking for:

1. Qualifications & Experience:
2. Grade 12 or N3 equivalent.
3. Red Seal Certification and Three Phase Electrical Tester.
4. Solid 5+ years in the electrical field.
5. Knowledge of electrics and general building maintenance.
6. Health and Safety knowledge.
7. Must have a driver's license.
8. Wiremen’s license a must-have.
