Job Overview

The position will be based in Wadeville, and the incumbent will report to the Foreman.

Job Specification (not totally inclusive)

  • Read electrical drawings, plan the assembling of components, and execute as per Engineering standards and procedures;
  • Repair and assemble sub-components for machines/ electrical panels;
  • Assembling electrical panels according to customer or KMC specifications;
  • To conduct wiring, assembling, and sequencing/ testing of electrical panels;
  • Understand and implement the company’s safety standard and must adhere to zero harm
  • To ensure tasks are completed within the time given and deadlines;
  • To comply with safety (SHE) standards at all time.

Minimum Skills Required

  • Grade 12 or requivalent;
  • Trade Test Qualification – Red Seal: Electrician;
  • 3–5 years of electrical wiring and assembling of panels and sub-components;
  • Specialized Equipment Experience: Hands-on experience working on KMC machinery;
  • Technical drawing proficiency: read electrical schematic and wiring drawings to determine operations, required material, and time frames for projects;
  • Overhead Crane Training: Formal training and competency in operating overhead cranes;
  • Safety Training: Completed Introduction to Gas Safety course or equivalent.

  • Communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Proven ability to work both independently and within a team under tight schedules;
  • Physically fit and capable of working in demanding environments.
