Job description

RCL FOODS is seeking an Electrician to join our Groceries Division.

The role will be based in Centurion and report to the Shift Artisan.

RCL FOODS is looking for an incumbent to maintain the site's machines to achieve optimal efficiencies and ensure all planned maintenance work is completed according to schedules.

Requirements include :

Passed trade test with a minimum of 3 years experience after qualification.

Wireman's license is an advantage for passing Sans codes.

Knowledge of PLC and VSD drives.

Experience with panel wiring.

Ability to prioritize workload.

Report writing and analysis on job cards.

Availability to work shifts, on callouts, and standby.

Driver's license with own transport.

Duties & Responsibilities

Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure machines operate smoothly and systems function efficiently.

Inspect equipment and perform maintenance actions following checklists.

Ensure compliance with Food safety standards; FMCG experience is advantageous.

Assemble, install, and repair equipment as needed.

Ensure departmental compliance with all Health and Safety standards and electrical regulations.

Diagnose and resolve electrical problems.

Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.

Direct and train workers in installing and maintaining mechanical / electrical equipment.

Record all maintenance and repair work performed.
