Placements24 is seeking motivated individuals to join its Junior Electrician Apprenticeship in Johannesburg, Gauteng. This hands-on program combines on-site learning with classroom-style theory to develop skilled electricians who can contribute to residential and commercial projects.

You will work alongside experienced tradespeople, gaining practical install, maintenance, and repair experience while earning a formal apprentice certification.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Interest in electrical work and willingness to learn.
• Basic understanding of electrical principles and safety procedures is advantageous.
• Physical fitness to work in various environments.
• Reliable transportation to the Johannesburg worksite.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior electricians with the installation of electrical wiring, components, and systems in residential and commercial settings.
• Learn and perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on electrical equipment and circuits under supervision.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to understand project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and building standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized worksite, manage tools and equipment effectively.
• Participate actively in on-the-job training and assigned theoretical coursework.
