Qualifications

• A relevant trade qualification (e.g., Wireman’s License or Electrician NQF Level 4).
• Minimum of 5 years’ practical experience as a qualified electrician.
• Teaching/training or assessing vocational skills is highly desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical theory, practices, safety standards, and electrical codes.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management abilities.
• Willingness to obtain a teaching/assessing qualification.

Responsabilités

• Deliver comprehensive theoretical and practical training in electrical trades (installation, maintenance, wiring, troubleshooting).
• Develop and prepare lesson plans, training materials, and practical exercises.
• Conduct skills assessments and provide constructive feedback on student performance.
• Ensure workshop and equipment are safe, orderly, and functional.
