Electrical Technician Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician with the following qualifications and skills:

• Matric (Grade 12) and an electrical qualification OR proven minimum 4-6 years of experience in practical electrical installations.
• Hands-on experience with Victron equipment is a significant advantage.
• Familiarity with solar, inverter, and dual-battery systems (12V and 24V).
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work neatly and independently with high attention to detail.
• Experience in the caravan, trailer, or off-grid sector is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and wire Victron inverters, chargers, MPPTs, and battery management systems.
• Fit and configure solar panels, lithium battery banks, lights, plugs, and 12V / 24V systems.
• Troubleshoot and test completed electrical systems before handover.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality requirements.
• Collaborate with the workshop team to coordinate wiring with other build phases.
