Are you an expert in generator and transformer maintenance with strong leadership skills?

Our client, a leading Property Development Company based in Centurion , is seeking an experienced and hands-on Generator and Transformer Supervisor to oversee the maintenance, performance, and reliability of all power systems across their property portfolio.

This role requires a technical leader who can manage a team, coordinate with vendors, and ensure uninterrupted power supply in a dynamic property environment.

POSITION INFO :

Key Responsibilities :

  • Supervise a team of technicians and electricians in the operation and maintenance of generators and transformers
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules and SOPs
  • Troubleshoot faults , monitor system performance, and address power failures quickly and effectively
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintain accurate maintenance logs and reports
  • Coordinate procurement of parts and services with approved vendors
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations , company policies, and industry standards
  • Provide training and mentorship to new staff on equipment handling and safety
  • Collaborate with property managers to ensure a reliable and efficient power supply across all sites
  • Stay current with industry trends , products, and technology updates to recommend improvements

Requirements :

  • Technical diploma or certification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working with generators and transformers
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role (advantageous)
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation
  • Valid driver’s license and own transport
  • Ability to work under pressure and be on-call for emergencies
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
