Electrical Service Technician – Sandton, Johannesburg – Market related Salary

A renowned producer and supplier of both light and heavy-duty mechanical drive products is seeking an Electrical Service Technician to join their team based in Johannesburg.

As a key member reporting directly to the Johannesburg Sales Manager, you''ll play a pivotal role in ensuring their electronic products meet the highest standards while supporting the growth of new automotive applications.

What We''re Looking For :

• In-depth technical knowledge of our products.
• Proficiency in PLCs, VSDs, and other programming devices for industrial process control.
• Understanding of torque, speed, and power from both mechanical and electrical perspectives.
• A solutions-driven mindset and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

Key Responsibilities :

• In-house repairs, including equipment identification, assessment, and quotation preparation.
• Telephone and on-site commissioning, technical support, and fault finding.
• Sales support through site visits, application identification, and equipment selection.
• Management of warranties, returns, and customer relationships.

Minimum Requirements :

• Control Systems / Automation experience required.
• VSD experience advantageous.
• National Senior Certificate / Matric.
• Diploma in electronics and / or electrical engineering preferred.
• Previous industrial automation experience required.
• Strong communication and report writing skills.
