Electrical Revit Modeller
We are looking for an Electrical Revit Modeller to join our team to provide high-quality BIM modelling and coordination support for electrical systems across data centre and industrial infrastructure projects. Develop and manage detailed electrical Revit models, ensuring accuracy, constructability, and alignment with project requirements, standards, and BIM execution plans.
Support the coordination of medium and high voltage systems within multi-disciplinary environments, with a focus on clash‑free, buildable, and information‑rich models.
Experience in data centres, industrial, or high‑complexity building environments will be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed electrical models in Revit (MV, LV, containment, equipment layouts).
- Produce coordinated models aligned with BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and project standards.
- Coordinate with multi‑disciplinary teams (mechanical, structural, civil) to resolve clashes and interface issues.
- Ensure models are constructible, coordinated, and aligned with design intent.
- Extract drawings, schedules, and quantities from models for project deliverables.
- Maintain model quality, naming conventions, and information structure in line with ISO 19650 principles.
- Support design teams by translating engineering concepts into coordinated BIM models.
- Participate in model coordination meetings and proactively resolve clashes and coordination issues.
- Manage and update federated models within the Common Data Environment (CDE).
Skills and Experience
- Excellent communication skills (English) and technical report writing abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit (electrical modelling) and Navisworks (clash detection and coordination).
- Knowledge of ISO 19650 and CDE workflows, including model naming, revision control, and information management.
- Strong understanding of BIM Level of Detail (LOD) and Level of Information (LOI).
- Ability to produce coordinated and clash‑free models in complex environments.
- Experience working within multi‑disciplinary BIM teams.
- Strong attention to detail in model accuracy and documentation outputs.
- Independent and accountable in design work.
- Ability to engage with multiple engineering disciplines in project meetings.
- Ability to work on challenging projects with tight timelines.
- Driver’s licence and own mode of transport to travel to office and sites.
- Knowledge of IEC, SANS, and BS standards applicable to MV/LV power systems; exposure to data centre standards (TIA‑942 / Uptime principles) is advantageous.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of consulting engineering experience with electrical BIM modelling using Revit in building services or industrial projects.
- Relevant qualification will be advantageous.
- Experience in data centre or high‑density infrastructure projects (e.g., large plantrooms, cable routing, equipment‑heavy environments) will be advantageous.
