Purpose of the position:

Proconics has been shortlisted for several renewable projects in South Africa.

Role Overview:

Proconics is looking for a reliable Quality Control Inspector responsible for organizing, implementing, and scheduling quality checks on equipment. The inspector evaluates and verifies work performed against work plans, specifications, and standards, reports findings and concerns, and specifies corrective actions.

Qualifications / Experience:
  • Minimum 6 years construction experience
  • Professional Registration
  • Postgraduate degree is an added advantage
  • Experience in renewable energy electrical balance of plant projects, transmission and distribution, substation, and overhead line projects
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environment codes, standards, and legislation
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical engineering drawings and schematics
  • Experience with substation equipment testing and commissioning is advantageous
  • Understanding of electrical construction requirements
  • Ability to manage non-conformance and root cause analysis
  • Knowledge of ISO, SANS / IEC Codes, and Eskom standards
Responsibilities:
  • Support and conduct onsite electrical engineering inspections
  • Ensure technical compliance and safety standards
  • Review quality documents and IFC drawings
  • Detect electrical quality problems and coordinate problem-solving
  • Review design changes and report non-conformities
  • Generate punch lists and support project closeout
