Job Description:

Position – Electrical Project Engineer – London and South East

Role –

• Drive engineering solutions and efficiencies to deliver projects to the highest standard whilst maintaining budget and programme
• Support the Project Managers and supervisors in delivering successful projects
• Assist the project team in carrying out mechanical installations on site
• Review subcontractor and supplier packages through procurement prior to pre-let and during delivery
• Assist in writing the scope of works for trade contract packages
• Manage project safety and provide quality service throughout London and South East

Responsibilities –

• Assist and manage the performance of trade contractors
• Manage programme and progress on site
• Ensure works are carried out to high standards complying with British Standards and codes of practice
• Drive procurement for compliance and cost efficiencies
• Assist in checking technical information on site
• Develop skills to manage larger mechanical projects and potentially lead as Project Manager
• Support supervisors and subcontractors with technical solutions
• Conduct QA and site audits of contract works
• Attend supply chain meetings with main contractors to support Project Manager

Qualifications –

• Effective planning and project management skills
• Experience working on medium to large projects
• Experience with Building Services Contractors at a similar level
• Knowledge of electrical systems and installation methods
• Time Served Apprentice or relevant Electrical qualifications (HNC)
• Strong financial acumen
• Good people management and motivational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Ability to plan, coordinate, and prioritize workloads
