Key Performance Outputs

The successful candidate, reporting to the Manager Electrical Maintenance, will be responsible for the following:

  • Maintain airport electrical infrastructure (Electrical networks, AWOS, High Mast Lightning, AGL, UPS, Transformers, etc.).
  • Life cycle planning of assets.
  • Achieving high level of availability, reliability, and operability of infrastructure/assets with minimum cost to contribute to business sustainability and profitability.
  • Ensuring that maintenance contracts are aligned to ACSA requirement to comply to stakeholder and related legislative requirements to ensure continuous operations.
  • Identify and apply viable technology and strategies to improve equipment efficiencies and lifestyle costing.
  • Managing overall governance and providing input into contract specifications.
  • Ensure effective and compliant contract management and that work is executed in accordance with contract.
  • Compile, manage and account for relevant budgets according to business requirements and specifications.
  • Managing stock levels according to minimum quantities advised and order when necessary.
  • Performing quality inspection on maintenance work done and implement/propose remedial action where necessary.
  • Scoping projects per business requirements.
  • Managing maintenance CAPEX projects in line with set standards.
  • Performing feasibility studies to determine project feasibility.
  • Compiling project documentation to apply for CAPEX.
  • Compiling reports on infrastructure and maintenance key performance indicators and ensure proactive action are implemented when needed.

Technical Skills And Experience

The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such will be required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Bsc in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 6 years’ Operational experience in Engineering (Maintenance / Facility Maintenance).
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Code 8 driver’s license
