Job summary

Greenro Solutions seeks a seasoned Supervisor to oversee electrical installations, maintenance and repairs across maritime projects. You will manage shipboard electrical systems, ensuring safety, compliance and on-time delivery, with hands-on leadership of the crew.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of shipboard electrical experience, knowledge of MCCs and onboard layouts, and a strong grasp of safety protocols. A valid Wireman/MIE and OEM certifications are advantageous for progression.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) and relevant electrical qualifications.
• ND in Electrical Engineering (Advantage) and licensure preferred.
• Master Installation Electrician (MIE) advantage; OEM certs acceptable.
• 5+ years of electrical installation experience on ships.
• Strong safety protocol knowledge and onboard electrical codes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all electrical installation, maintenance and repair work on ships.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time and to high quality standards.
• Lead and develop the supervising team; coordinate with contractors.
• Review schematics, wiring diagrams and system diagrams for complex onboard systems.

Job Purpose

Responsible foroverseeing and managing all aspects of electrical installation, maintenance,and repairs in various industries, including maritime. This role requiresextensive hands-on experience in marine electrical systems, a deepunderstanding of safety protocols, and a valid Wireman's License.

The Supervisor willbe responsible for ensuring all projects are completed safely, on time, and tothe highest quality standards.

RequiredQualifications:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• N3 Electrical Engineering Certificate
• ND in Electrical Engineering(Advantage)
• Master Installation Electrician (MIE)(Advantage)
• National Trade Test Certificate or Military Artisan Certificate providedby OEM or accredited agent of OEM.

Required Knowledge:

• Advanced Knowledge of Installations rules & regulations on boardships
• Knowledge of Electrical systems, especially MCC’s.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics,blueprints, and technical diagrams.
• Basic knowledge of Soft Starters and Drives setup and commissioning.
• Knowledge of electrical equipment and tools, including their designs,uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of electrical hazards.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office and Outlook.
• Knowledge of Schneider & Siemens electrical products (Advantage)
• Knowledge of Electrical systems functional design analyses (Advantage)

Requirements

EXPERIENCE

• 5 Years’ experience inelectrical installations on board Ships
• 3 Years Direct ,hands-on experience with electrical installations and systems on board ships,offshore platforms, or other marine vessels.
• 2-3 Years Proven experience in a supervisory or team lead role.
• Maintenance and repairs of ships systems: Electrical, electronic &control systems (Advantage)
