About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and certified Electrical Installation and Repair Technician to join their growing team in Polokwane, Limpopo . This position is responsible for the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical theory, blueprints, and safety standards, coupled with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues. This is a key role in ensuring the reliable power supply and safe electrical infrastructure for our clients in the Polokwane area. You will be working on diverse projects, from new constructions to ongoing maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and connect electrical systems , wiring, and fixtures in accordance with building codes and regulations.
• Perform diagnostic tests to identify electrical faults and malfunctions in circuits, equipment, and appliances.
• Repair or replace faulty wiring , damaged components, and malfunctioning electrical devices.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Conduct inspections of electrical systems to ensure safety and compliance with standards.
• Maintain and update records of all electrical work performed, including materials used and time spent.
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety protocols and company policies.
• Respond to emergency service calls promptly to address critical electrical issues.
• Advise clients on electrical system upgrades and energy-efficient solutions.
• Collaborate with other trades and contractors on construction and renovation projects in Polokwane .

Requirements

• Qualified Electrician with a relevant trade certificate (e.g., NQF Level 3 or equivalent).
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical installation and repair.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety practices.
• Experience with diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
