Job summary

Southern Star Electrical Ltd seeks an Apprentice/General Helper to support electricians on-site in Gauteng. You will assist with trenching, digging, laying cables, and conduit installation. Work includes loading materials and clearing installations after removal of supply cables.

Must have good communication, be sober, and willing to work overtime. Candidates should be between 25 and 35 years old and prepared to perform physically demanding tasks in a busy construction environment.

Qualifications

• Assists Electrician with field tasks and site work.
• Requires good communication with team and supervisors.
• Must be sober and reliable in a construction/electrical environment.

Responsibilities

• Digging holes and trenches as required on site.
• Planting poles and laying/pulling cables in trenches.
• Chasing and cutting walls and concrete floors for conduit (no power tools).
• Loading or unloading materials and equipment from trucks.
