Job summary

MSP Staffing Pty is seeking a hands-on electrical project engineer in Cape Town to combine technical knowledge with effective project coordination, site management and client engagement.

The role involves coordinating across engineering, construction, testing and commissioning phases, addressing technical challenges with contractors and suppliers, and supporting Solar PV and BESS solutions including grid integration and metering processes.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering qualification required.
• 2+ years of experience in electrical project engineering or renewable energy projects.
• Experience with LV/MV systems, Solar PV, BESS and electrical commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project execution across engineering, construction, testing and commissioning phases.
• Monitor site progress and work with contractors and suppliers to address technical and operational challenges.
• Assist with the implementation of Solar PV and BESS solutions, including grid integration and control systems.
• Support LV/MV electrical infrastructure projects and ensure technical requirements are met.
• Coordinate electrical metering, SSEG applications, meter registration and wayleave processes.
• Prepare technical submissions and maintain accurate project documentation and progress reports.
• Facilitate effective communication between clients, project teams and relevant utility stakeholders.
• Support safe, compliant and efficient project handovers.
