Key Responsibilities

• Conduct load analysis and forecasting to predict future electricity demand patterns.
• Develop and optimize long-term expansion plans for the power distribution network, including substation upgrades and new feeder lines.
• Perform power flow, fault level, and stability studies to ensure network integrity and compliance with standards.
• Evaluate and recommend technologies for network improvement, such as smart grid solutions and distributed generation integration.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and project teams to ensure planned works align with network strategies.
• Prepare technical reports, project proposals, and justification documents for capital investment.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements impacting distribution planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with a specialization in Power Systems.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in electrical power distribution planning or design.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) registration is highly advantageous.
