Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in electrical design/drafting within engineering/manufacturing.
• Proficiency in Eplan & AutoCAD required.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed electrical designs, including layout designs and network diagrams.
• Create and manage BOMs and project documentation.
• Liaise with clients and manufacturing teams to resolve design queries.

Job description

Position : Electrical Designer / Draftsman (Permanent)

Location : Alrode, Alberton (Engineering / Manufacturing Environment)

Work Schedule : 06 : 30 – 15 : 30 (Monday–Friday)

Salary : Competitive, based on experience

Requirements :

• 3–5 years’ experience in electrical design / drafting within engineering / manufacturing.
• Technical Skills :
• Proficiency in Eplan & AutoCAD (non-negotiable)
• Ability to develop electrical schematics, automation drawings, and layout designs
• Strong administrative skills with adherence to project timelines
• Knowledge of ECSA Code of Conduct and engineering standards

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop detailed electrical designs using Eplan & AutoCAD, including MCC, PLC, DB, RIO, GA layouts, and network diagrams
• Create and manage BOMsand project documentation
• Assist in preliminary designs, proposals, and testing within the engineering department
• Implement redlining during FAT, commissioning, and handover phases
• Ensure compliance with ECSA guidelines and company quality / safety standards
• Liaise with clients, procurement, and manufacturing teams to resolve design queries
