Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Reference: CTE-WLe-1

A multi-disciplinary consulting firm is seeking a talented Senior Electrical Design Engineer to contribute to various building services projects.

You will be instrumental in guaranteeing project excellence through electrical power and lighting distribution design, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Craft meticulous electrical building services specifications and designs tailored to client needs and industry standards.
• Collaborate effectively with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure project feasibility and alignment with requirements.
• Leverage CAD software and engineering tools to refine designs and develop 3D models using CAD, Revit, and BIM software.
• Conduct thorough feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for the implementation of new techniques.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including reports and specifications.
• Ensure strict adherence to regulations and safety standards throughout project lifecycles.
• Coordinate seamlessly with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure timely, budget-conscious, and high-quality project completion.
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements and cost-saving measures, offering recommendations to senior management.
• Facilitate regular project meetings, provide guidance to team members, and keep stakeholders informed of progress and changes in milestones.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Electrical Design (building services).
• At least five of the 10 years must be post-professional registration and in domestic / low voltage design.
• Strong technical background in engineering design and construction.

Qualifications

• BSc, BEng, or BTech degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer.
