EDUCATION & SKILLS

• Minimum of a completed B.Eng / BSc in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of electrical design and project engineering experience.
• Must have MV and LV experience.
• Good technical writing skills.
• Computer literacy (MS Office Suite).
• Experience in Renewable Energy (PV power).

PETENCIES

• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to plan work to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings with attention to detail.
• Teamwork skills with minimal supervision.
• Good organization and time management skills.
• Interfacing with mechanical, structural, and civil engineering disciplines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in various project phases: FEED, Basic Design, Detail Design, Procurement, Manufacturing, Construction, Commissioning, and project closure.
• Act as discipline lead on projects.
• Manage project scope execution within schedule and budget.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary work and manage changes.
• Interface with suppliers and vendors.
• Mentor junior engineers.
• Contribute to value engineering and process improvements.
• Review project scope and technical specifications.
• Estimate costs and man-hours, prepare scope of work documents.
• Develop deliverables, project schedules, and engineering packages based on standards.
• Focus on building good client relationships.
• Professional sign-off on electrical designs (advantageous).

SOFTWARE SKILLS

• ETAP (Load flow, short circuit, motor starting, harmonic analysis, protection grading, ARC flash, cable sizing).
• DigSilent (advantageous).
• MS Projects.
• Basic CAD skills.
