This role involves designing, developing, testing, commissioning, and maintaining electrical, control, and instrumentation systems. The candidate will review outsourced work and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12)
• National Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• B-Tech / BEng / BSc in Electrical Engineering (Advantage)
• ECSA Candidate Membership (Advantage)

Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Electrical Engineering
• 3-5 years' experience with Siemens systems such as PLC, HMI & SCADA (Compulsory)

Responsibilities

1. System Design and Development: Write program code for PLCs, design and configure SCADA and HMI systems according to customer requirements.
2. Technical Documentation: Prepare schematics, diagrams, and technical documents ensuring compliance with standards.
3. Design and Material Specification: Calculate, design, specify materials, and supervise manufacturing and installation of MCCs, PLC panels, SCADA, and HMI.
4. Testing and Commissioning: Conduct functional tests, troubleshooting, and oversee system commissioning.
5. Project Collaboration: Work with multidisciplinary teams for project execution and system integration.
6. Compliance and Safety: Ensure designs meet international standards and promote health, safety, and environmental considerations.
7. Project Management: Develop schedules and budgets, monitor performance, and implement improvements.
8. Training and Development: Attend workshops, review publications, and undertake client training as needed.
