Placements24 is seeking an Electrical Automation Engineer for a leading high-tech manufacturer in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. You will design, program, and commission PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems to optimize production processes, while developing electrical schematics and control logic for automated machinery.

You will troubleshoot and resolve automation issues on the production floor, implementing improvements to boost efficiency, reliability, and safety.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design, program, and commission PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for manufacturing processes.
• Develop and maintain electrical schematics and control logic for automated machinery.

• Implement improvements to existing automation systems to enhance efficiency, reliability, and safety.

Requirements

• Experience with SCADA software and HMI development.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, motor controls, and sensor technologies.
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with robotic systems is a plus.
