Job summary

Lucy Group Ltd seeks an Assembly / Adaptation Technician to perform electrical assembly, adaptation, and related production tasks on the shop floor in South Africa. You will execute work accurately, safely, and in line with drawings, BOMs and instructions, contributing to on-time delivery and product quality.

The role requires 2–5 years of electrical assembly experience, the ability to read schematics, and proficiency with hand and basic power tools.

Qualifications

• Electrical Artisan or equivalent qualification required.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings.
• 2–5 years' experience in electrical assembly or production roles.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical assembly and adaptation work in line with drawings, schematics, BOMs and work instructions.
• Assemble, wire, and fit electrical components accurately and efficiently.
• Carry out general assembly and fitment of Ring Main Units into enclosures.
• Use hand tools, fixtures, jigs, and basic power tools correctly and safely.
• Prepare and verify parts and materials required for tasks.
• Achieve daily and weekly production targets and support team output.
• Conduct self-inspection to ensure quality; report defects promptly.
• Manage safety, housekeeping and proper use of equipment on the shop floor.
