Job summary

Fidelity Services Group is seeking an EHS Leadership professional to drive a regional Environmental Health & Safety program. The role focuses on reducing accidents and environmental impact by enforcing statutory, company and customer EHS requirements.

You will lead a regional EHS team, coordinate training, and ensure EHS integration into business planning while maintaining strong relationships with managers and external bodies. A valid driver’s license is essential.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in Environmental Health & Safety management in construction and subcontractor oversight.
• Certificate or diploma in EHS or related fields preferred.
• Computer literacy across MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Experience delivering training programs and developing policies and procedures.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional EHS culture toward Zero Harm to People and the Environment.
• Support Managers to implement the EHS Policy and Management System.
• Mentor and develop the Regional EHS Team.
• Integrate EHS into business planning and establish performance measures.
• Develop and coordinate EHS projects, processes and procedures across the region.
• Coordinate risk assessments and contractor management program implementation.
• Assist investigations of accidents, incidents and near misses.
• Deliver EHS training programs and coordinate rehabilitation initiatives.
• Travel within the region as required.

Overall Purpose of the Job:

The purpose of the position is to provide leadership and assistance to Management throughout the Region to implement the EHS Management System and drive cultural change, with the objective of minimizing accidents, injuries, and environmental damage through promoting compliance with Statutory, Company and Customer EHS requirements.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• 4-6 years’ experience in Environmental Health & Safety Management in Construction and Subcontractor management
• Related Environmental Health & Safety certificates or equivalent courses completed (i.e. RCAT & Risk management, Environmental Health & Safety Management, etc.)
• Computer Literate (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Internet)
• Skilled in delivering training programs, presentations and development of policies and procedures
• Valid Driver’s License
• Diploma/ Related Qualification in EHS Management will be an advantage

Main Duties:

• Drive a culture of “Zero Harm to People and the Environment” across the region
• Build strong working relationships in order to assist Managers to consistently implement the Company’s EHS Policy and Management System
• Provide leadership, mentoring, guidance and development of Regional EHS Team
• Promote incorporation of EHS into business planning and assist with establishing EHS management performance measures
• Develop and implement Regional and National EHS Projects, Processes and Procedures
• Implement and monitor the Risk Assessment and Control System throughout the Region
• Implement and monitor compliance with the Contractor Management Program throughout the Region
• Assist and coordinate the investigation and management of accidents, incidents and near misses
• Develop and coordinate delivery of EHS Training Programs
• Coordinate the implementation of occupational rehabilitation and the Injury Management Program
• of legislative changes and emerging issues, and communicate with the business
• Co-ordinate and assist with audits
• Collaborate across boundaries internally with EHS professionals, and externally with industry, statutory and professional bodies.
• Ability to travel in the region as required
