Job summary

About the Role

Our client is looking for reliable and energetic Warehouse Associates with a focus on picking and packing orders to join their team in Port Elizabeth . This hands-on role is vital for ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently fulfilled, contributing directly to customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for locating items, preparing them for shipment, and maintaining an organized and safe work environment within a key Eastern Cape industrial and port city.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately pick orders using handheld scanners or pick lists, ensuring correct items and quantities are selected.
• Carefully pack items into appropriate shipping containers, ensuring product safety and presentation.
• Label packages correctly and prepare them for shipment, adhering to carrier requirements.
• Conduct quality checks on picked and packed items to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all warehouse safety protocols.
• Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as stocking, cycle counts, and general upkeep.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse or order fulfillment environment is preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced setting.
• Familiarity with picking and packing processes and equipment (e.g., scanners).
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to lift and move moderate weight regularly and stand for extended periods.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
