In financial statement audit at PwC, you will focus on obtaining reasonable assurance about whether the financial statements as a whole are free from material misstatement, whether due to fraud or error, and to issue an auditor's report that includes the auditor's opinion.

Role Summary:

As a Senior Associate,

you'll

work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping clients solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Qualifications / Certifications required:
  • Minimum 5 years bookkeeping experience in a professional environment.
Experience required:
  • 1-2 years related experience
Responsibilities of role:
  • Proactively assist in managing several clients, reporting to Managers and above.
  • Train and lead staff.
  • Establish effective working relationships with clients.
  • Contribute to your own and your team's technical development.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, VAT returns, final trial balances, statements, and tax computations for a portfolio of clients to meet deadlines.
  • Manage time effectively using electronic timesheets.
  • Monitor client job costs and prepare cost analyses and bills upon completion.
  • Stay updated on local and national business and economic issues.
  • Participate in business development activities to identify and research new or existing client opportunities.
  • Develop internal relationships and enhance your PwC brand.

Additional considerations:

  • Experience with VAT returns, Caseware, and working with farmers and farming tax would be advantageous.
  • Organized individuals capable of taking responsibility with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.

Role-related attributes include minimum 5 years bookkeeping experience, responsibility for client correspondence, and the ability to gather all necessary financial information for preparing financial statements, tax computations, and working papers for various entity types. Proficiency in Pastel, Xero, Excel, and Microsoft Word is required, along with the ability to work effectively in a high-performance team. Travel up to 20% may be required.
