As part of SAP’s Customer Success organization, we seek motivated, customer-focused team members to strengthen the Cloud Architecture & Advisory team (CAA).

The Cloud Architect serves as the primary technical contact from the customer perspective and collaborates closely with internal teams.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

This is a customer-facing role supporting sales during the entire cloud deal cycle.

The key tasks include:

1. Detailing technical and operational aspects of RISE with SAP Private Cloud.
2. Presenting requirements and value propositions for SAP private cloud on hyperscalers like AWS, Azure, and GCP.
3. Conducting technical assessment workshops to define future cloud architecture and migration plans with customers, partners, and SAP Professional Services.
4. Guiding customers on non-functional capabilities such as Business Continuity, Cybersecurity & Compliance, Networking, and Technical Operations.
5. Collaborating with internal teams to generate pricing and support sales deals.
6. Leading technical discussions with customers and coordinating expertise from SAP delivery teams.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Administration from an accredited university.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in SAP product portfolio, offerings, and industry solutions.
• Understanding of SAP solutions, releases, and platform interdependencies.
• Knowledge of SAP operational aspects in cloud environments.
• Understanding of at least one hyperscaler (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Willingness to be part of a global team of Cloud Architects.
• Availability for customer travel on short notice.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are assets.

WORK EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 8 years of customer-facing SAP consulting experience.
• At least 8 years in solution design, enterprise architecture, or SAP implementation.
• Experience in pre-sales roles is advantageous.
• Certifications or experience with IaaS providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data centers are a plus.
• Expertise in Cybersecurity & Compliance.
• Experience with SAP Application Lifecycle Management or SAP Operations.
• Knowledge of ITSM, Service Design & Delivery.
• Skills in SAP HANA and S/4 HANA are highly beneficial.
