The Role

As a Restaurant Manager you will support the Food and Beverage Management team in overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant. You will be responsible for ensuring that our guests receive impeccable personalized service and that all standards of quality safety and excellence are upheld.

Whats in a Days Work

  • Implement and monitor service standards policies and processes to ensure a highquality guest experience.
  • Oversee daily operations including staffing inventory and budget management.
  • Train mentor and manage the restaurant team fostering a culture of service excellence.
  • Ensure staff are knowledgeable about the menu specials and wine pairings to provide expert recommendations.
  • Maintain a strong floor presence engaging with guests to personalize their dining experience.
  • Monitor guest feedback identify improvement opportunities and implement changes to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Support the team in achieving sales upselling and waste reduction targets.
  • Ensure compliance with health safety and food safety regulations.
  • Manage and control stock levels including chinaware glassware linens and restaurant equipment.
  • Collaborate with purchasing to select suitable suppliers for the restaurants needs.
  • Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless service and menu .
  • Conduct preservice briefings to ensure the team is wellprepared for each shift.
  • Maintain and enforce hygiene safety and cleanliness standards in the restaurant.
  • Plan and execute special events promotions and themed dining experiences.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and provide coaching and development opportunities for the team.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting monitor revenue targets and control expenses to maximize profitability.
  • Manage reservation systems and optimize table turnover while ensuring guest comfort.
  • Oversee and maintain the aesthetic and ambiance of the restaurant ensuring an inviting atmosphere.

Requirements

Note : This opportunity is open to South African Citizens only. No work permits available.

  • Diploma in Hotel Management Food and Beverage or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a luxury restaurant management role within a 5star environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and food & beverage management software.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate a team.
  • Exceptional service orientation with a commitment to guest satisfaction.
  • Fluent in English; additional language skills are advantageous.
