Job Purpose
Managing Customer Account Development to ensure delivery of key targets while building long sustainable business relationships with customers and internally.
Job Responsibilities
- Selling & Negotiating
- Utilize selling tools to create value for both Beiersdorf and customers.
- Engage in joint business planning to drive mutual growth.
- Work cross-functionally with Trade Analytics and S&CM teams to identify opportunities.
- Shopper Customer Management (S&CM)
- Leverage shopper insights to enhance the path to purchase.
- Work with the S&CM team to create account-specific shopper initiatives.
- Implement NPD and core business support plans.
- Financial Business Management
- Develop customer forecasts and budgets by month and category.
- Manage customer P&L, including sales volume, gross sales, and net sales.
- Monitor trading terms, rebates, discounts, and COOP’s impact on net sales.
- Ensure category profitability through internal and external analysis.
- Analytics & Reporting
- Provide accurate annual and monthly sales forecasts.
- Utilize data sources (promotions, ROS, customer stock levels) to refine forecasts.
- Develop and analyze promotional plans, ROI, and demand planning processes.
- Generate insights from customer data (Epos, loyalty cards, Nielsen reports).
- Conduct regular customer reviews, addressing risks and opportunities.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Work with 3rd party merchandising to ensure accurate, timely order processing.
- Partner with Operations team to drive order efficiency and manage customer interactions.
- Respond swiftly to customer challenges and coordinate with other departments.
- Work with Logistics to ensure On-Time, In-Full deliveries.
- Coordinate with Planning on inventory and customer orders.
- Strategy Development
- Align business, sales, and channel strategies in account planning.
- Develop sustainable financial plans while establishing a long-term vision for accounts.
- Operational Execution
- Ensure appropriate shelf space allocation and SKU placement per planograms.
- Monitor distribution and compliance of promotional activities.
- Manage NPD listings and distribution within two weeks of STT.
- Maintain operational efficiency between third-party merchandising agencies and customers.
- Sales Administration
- Secure agreements on price increases within customer SOPs.
- Maintain updated price files and document agreed activities.
- Ensure correct assortment and SKU distribution across stores.
- Oversee and rectify KPI performance of third-party merchandising agencies.
Your Profile
- BCom or Equivalent
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in National Key Account Management and working in large retail accounts.
- Proficient in MS Office (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
- High Degree of Analytical Capability and conflict management
- Sales and Execution Management
- Customer and Shopper Understanding
