Job Purpose

Managing Customer Account Development to ensure delivery of key targets while building long sustainable business relationships with customers and internally.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Selling & Negotiating
  2. Utilize selling tools to create value for both Beiersdorf and customers.
  3. Engage in joint business planning to drive mutual growth.
  4. Work cross-functionally with Trade Analytics and S&CM teams to identify opportunities.
  5. Shopper Customer Management (S&CM)
  6. Leverage shopper insights to enhance the path to purchase.
  7. Work with the S&CM team to create account-specific shopper initiatives.
  8. Implement NPD and core business support plans.
  9. Financial Business Management
  10. Develop customer forecasts and budgets by month and category.
  11. Manage customer P&L, including sales volume, gross sales, and net sales.
  12. Monitor trading terms, rebates, discounts, and COOP’s impact on net sales.
  13. Ensure category profitability through internal and external analysis.
  14. Analytics & Reporting
  15. Provide accurate annual and monthly sales forecasts.
  16. Utilize data sources (promotions, ROS, customer stock levels) to refine forecasts.
  17. Develop and analyze promotional plans, ROI, and demand planning processes.
  18. Generate insights from customer data (Epos, loyalty cards, Nielsen reports).
  19. Conduct regular customer reviews, addressing risks and opportunities.
  20. Stakeholder Engagement
  21. Work with 3rd party merchandising to ensure accurate, timely order processing.
  22. Partner with Operations team to drive order efficiency and manage customer interactions.
  23. Respond swiftly to customer challenges and coordinate with other departments.
  24. Work with Logistics to ensure On-Time, In-Full deliveries.
  25. Coordinate with Planning on inventory and customer orders.
  26. Strategy Development
  27. Align business, sales, and channel strategies in account planning.
  28. Develop sustainable financial plans while establishing a long-term vision for accounts.
  29. Operational Execution
  30. Ensure appropriate shelf space allocation and SKU placement per planograms.
  31. Monitor distribution and compliance of promotional activities.
  32. Manage NPD listings and distribution within two weeks of STT.
  33. Maintain operational efficiency between third-party merchandising agencies and customers.
  34. Sales Administration
  35. Secure agreements on price increases within customer SOPs.
  36. Maintain updated price files and document agreed activities.
  37. Ensure correct assortment and SKU distribution across stores.
  38. Oversee and rectify KPI performance of third-party merchandising agencies.
Your Profile
  1. BCom or Equivalent
  2. Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in National Key Account Management and working in large retail accounts.
  3. Proficient in MS Office (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  4. High Degree of Analytical Capability and conflict management
  5. Sales and Execution Management
  6. Customer and Shopper Understanding
